Hi, I’m Carlos. I’m a medical physicist based in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, and I spend much of my time thinking about how imaging can make cancer care more precise and more personal.
My work sits at the intersection of physics, medicine, and technology. I work with PET/CT and SPECT/CT, quantitative imaging, dosimetry, theranostics, and increasingly AI and code. What I enjoy most is turning complicated ideas into something useful; whether that is a new method, a small tool, a clear explanation, or a better way for a team to work together.
TheranosticsBytes is my little personal space where I share some of that thinking outside the usual format of papers and presentations. You’ll find ideas I’m exploring, questions I keep returning to, and practical notes from the research and clinical worlds. Sometimes that means a deeper article; other times it might be a short reflection, a bit of code, or a side project such as DecayLab.
I don’t expect to have the final word on any of these topics. My hope is simply to make complex subjects a little more approachable and to contribute to thoughtful conversations about where medical imaging and theranostics are going.
